Circle Introduction

Astronomical Society

Why not chase distant hikari in the pitch-black sky?

The Astronomy Research Group (commonly known as the Astronomy Club) is a club whose main purpose is to observe the starry sky.

We usually meet twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:00 p.m. in a prefab space on the Yamakoshi grounds. At the meeting, after informing each other about our activities, we observe with telescopes and take astrophotographs.

Other activities include stargazing drives, meteor shower observing parties, viewing parties at the Kuma Kogen Observatory in Ehime, and planetarium viewing parties at the Ehime Prefectural Museum of General Science.

We also show planetariums at student festivals and regularly hold joint activities with other university astronomy clubs.
